Event Goals

  • 1. Recognise methods of managing pregnancy and birth emergencies outside a maternaity care setting which may help standardize the skills of practicing Non maternity care providers.
  • 2. Demonstrate skill in managing Fetal Monitoring ,shoulder dystocia , labour dystocia , PARTOGRAM – (Monitoring the delivery ); amaetrnal Resucitation and postpartum hemorrhage management with estimation of blood loss in the skill workstation
  • 3. To Practise the ability to organize and safely lead a team facing an obstetrical emergency in the learning stations
  • 4. To complete the content and skill acquisition by successful completion of the skills assessment in the workstations and a, written evaluation.
  • 1. Improving the management of normal deliveries and obstetrical emergencies by standardizing the skills of pre-hospital care providers; emergency department (ED) personnel; and medical, nursing, and physician assistant students
  • 2. Facilitate productive, collegial interactions among Interns /students interested in maternity care, first responders, and maternity care providers and Non maternity care provdiers .
  • 3. Assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of education and training for pre-hospital care providers; ED personnel; and medical, nursing, and physician assistant students.
  • 4. Promote teamwork and patient safety to improve the quality of maternity care provided by pre-hospital care providers; ED personnel; and medical, nursing, and physician assistant students.
