Event Goals

  • 1. Goal: To improve surgeons’ understanding of the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery. Learning Objective: Participants will be able to explain the key principles of laparoscopic surgery and describe the pre-operative setup process.
  • 2. Goal: To enhance skills in pre-operative setup for gynecological laparoscopic surgeries. Learning Objective: Participants will be able to prepare the operating room for laparoscopic surgery, setting up equipment and instruments correctly.
  • 3. Goal: To improve knowledge and skills in safe entry techniques and ergonomics. Learning Objective: Participants will demonstrate proper safe entry techniques and ergonomic practices in laparoscopic surgery
  • 4. Goal: To address common pitfalls in gynecological laparoscopic surgery.
  • Learning Objective: Participants will identify at least three common pitfalls in laparoscopic surgery and describe methods to avoid them, demonstrating an understanding of safety precautions in 90% of case-based evaluations.
  • 5. Goal: To enhance hands-on skills in laparoscopic surgery using simulated models.
  • Learning Objective: Participants will complete a hands-on practice session, demonstrating proficiency in basic laparoscopic techniques in skill-based evaluations.
