Event Goals

1. Understand candidacy criteria for different hearing implants
2. Assess hearing implant Suitability: o Identify hearing implant candidacy criteria. o Evaluate hearing implant candidacy effectively.
3. Understand best practice in audiological assessment from infancy to adulthood: o Explain the different procedures involved in audiological assessment based on patent age. o Apply this knowledge to audiological assessment effectively across patient
4. Assess hearing aid benefit accurately.
5. Perform Auditory Brainstem Responses (ABR): o Identify and interpret key stimulus and recording parameters. o Understand their impact on the ABR waveform. o Accurately perform comprehensive ABR testing.
6. Interpret Auditory Brainstem Responses (ABR): o Identify and interpret ABR waveforms. o Understand the difference between dBnHL, dBeHL, and dBHL. o Accurately establish a diagnosis of type and degree of hearing loss from the ABR waveforms.
7. Compare hearing aids and acoustic parameters: o Compare and contrast different hearing aids and different acoustic parameters. o Select appropriate hearing aids and acoustic parameters for individual cases.
8. Master hearing aid fitting and verification: o Identify and contrast hearing aid fitting formulas. o Understand how to very hearing aid fitting. o Accurately program hearing aids to meet prescriptive targets based on fitting formula.
