Event Goals
- Identify the signs and symptoms of common oncological emergencies such as tumour lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, sepsis and septic shock.
- Explain the pathophysiology of oncological emergencies and describe how they impact patient outcome.
- Perform appropriate assessments and initiate prompt interventions for oncological emergencies in clinical scenario.
- Examine clinical situations to differentiate between oncological emergencies and other medical conditions, determining the most appropriate interventions.
