Event Goals

  • 1. Wound Healing Physiology: By the end of the course, participants will accurately describe and apply the five stages of wound healing and analyze factors influencing healing by achieving a minimum score of 100% in a post-course assessment.
  • 2. Wound Classification & Assessment: Within one month of completing the course, participants will demonstrate the ability to classify different wound types (e.g., pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous and arterial wounds) using a standardize
  • 3. Infection Control & Biofilm Management: Within three months of completing the course, participants will apply at least one evidence-based infection control strategy in their practice, ensuring a measurable reduction in wound infections as document
  • 4. Tissue Viability and Moisture Balance: Within two months of training, participants will implement at least three wound bed preparation strategies in 80% of their clinical cases, optimizing moisture balance and tissue viability
  • 5. Wound Documentation & Digital Tracking: Within three months of completing the training, participants will document and track wound progression using a standardized framework, increasing the use of digital wound tracking tools by at least 50% in t
  • Attitude Outcomes: By the end of the course, participants will engage in at least one case-based discussion to demonstrate a positive attitude toward interdisciplinary wound care.
  • Within two months of completing the course, participants will incorporate pain management and patient education into at least three patient interactions per week to enhance patient-centered wound care
  • Skills Outcomes: Participants will perform wound assessment and documentation using the TIME (Tissue, Inflammation, Moisture, Edge) framework with at least 90% accuracy in a practical skills test
  • Within four weeks of course completion, participants will select and apply appropriate wound dressings for various wound types with at least 80% accuracy in a simulated patient scenario
  • By the end of the training, participants will execute sterile dressing changes and infection control techniques with 100% compliance with aseptic protocols in a hands-on workshop
  • Performance Outcomes: Within six months of completing the course, participants will implement preventive strategies in their units to contribute to a 20% reduction in hospital-acquired pressure ulcers
  • By the end of the course, participants will enhance wound documentation practices by increasing the use of digital wound tracking tools by at least 50% in their daily practice
  • Within three months of completing the course, participants will educate at least 10 patients or caregivers on wound care best practices, ensuring at least 80% patient adherence to self-care instructions
